How Do I Downoad EBSCO eBooks for Offline Viewing?
Answer
While it's generally easiest to just read eBooks in the browser, it is possible to download eBooks from EBSCO (our main eBook provider) for offline viewing.
To download a full eBook from EBSCO, first you'll need a compatible eBooks Reader app on a compatible device: Here is what EBSCO recommends:
- Thorium Reader Desktop installed on your device. This free app lets you check out and read the eBook on your computer. Download Thorium Reader for Windows, Mac, and Linux
- A compatible device: The Thorium Reader Desktop is compatible with Windows 10+, macOS 10.13+, Linux. Thorium Reader only has a mobile app for iOS devices. A mobile app for Android is on their roadmap for the future. Check out the Support page for Thorium Reader Desktop for more information.
