Rooms & Study Spaces Each library location offers space for individual study and research, as well as group work. See the tabs below for location-specific spaces and rooms. While guest borrowers are allowed to utilize these spaces, priority will be given to students. Please remember that rooms are not soundproof so group discussions should monitor volume levels and headphones are encouraged. Castleton Johnson Lyndon Randolph Williston Study Spaces Calvin Coolidge Library offers a variety of individual and group study spaces. Individual Study Rooms (13) Available on a first come first serve basis Check out a key at the circulation desk Two are equipped with a TV and Blu-Ray DVD player Group Study Rooms (2) Available on a first come first serve basis No key is required Equipped with chalkboards with chalk available at the circulation desk Conference Rooms (3) Can be reserved in advance at the circulation desk or through the booking form below Checkout a key at the circulation desk Other Spaces Library Media Viewing Room (LMVR) - Classes and campus events are held in this room. It can be reserved via the VTSU Room and Vehicle Requests form. The LMVR is telepresence equipped. Library Instruction Lab - Library instructional and research sessions are held in this space; reservations can be made through local liaison librarians. When not in use for classes, the computers and printer in this space may be used by all library patrons. Library Gallery Lounge - Vending machines and mobile furniture can be found in this space, along with artwork often displayed by Castleton's senior art majors. Individual Study Rooms (3) Room 330, Room 331, Room 332 Available on a first come first serve basis Check out a key at the circulation desk Room 330 is wheelchair accessible Capacity: one person Group Study Rooms (1) Room 227 Available on a first come first serve basis Check out a key at the circulation desk Equipped with a whiteboard and marker Capacity: five people Other Spaces John E Lord Room (J.E.L. Rm 143/144) - Classes and campus events are held in this room. It can be reserved via the VTSU Room and Vehicle Requests form. JEL Room is equipped with a Viewboard & camera and a whiteboard & markers. Twenty Four Hour Study - Available to students, faculty and staff during library hours and beyond. Desktop computers (sound-enabled, no camera) are available with portal login and networked black and white printing services. Enter through the library during library hours. Enter through the library lobby with enabled academic ID card when the library is closed.Study Spaces Samuel Read Hall Library offers a variety of individual and group study spaces. Individual Study Rooms (5) Study Rooms: LAC 302, 209, 211, 103 (4) Available on a first come first serve basis No key is required Classroom/ Meeting Space/Study Rooms (2) Vermont Room LAC 217 Equipped with TV and conference phone No key is required Instructional Material Center LAC 202 Multi Media/ Smart Technology Touch Screen No key is required On all three floors the Library Stacks are designed with nooks for group and individual study spaceHartness Randolph Center library has two small group rooms, each of which can comfortably seat 4 people. The large conference room can seat 13 people. All rooms have wall mounted widescreens that connect to the internet and a laptop. Each room also has DVD and VHS equipment and whiteboards. The rooms are for student use, and can be reserved in person, or over the phone. There is one office available for use by reservation that contains two desks. Other office space may be available upon request. The Hartness Williston Library has five individual study rooms, one group room, and one large conference room. The large conference room is available for use by reservation.
