You can access New York Times articles and pages from specific dates in history from 1851-1993 through the Historical New York Times database. On the VSCS libraries website, you can find the Historical New York Times database by first choosing Individual Databases, then clicking on Browse or search full database list, as shown in the images below.

After you've opened the database, click on Advanced Search to choose a date to view.
 
To see the whole front page for a specific date, click on a page 1 article and then click on Page View PDF.  Click on the printer icon to save as a PDF or print.  Or to see the whole page where any article is included, click on Page View PDF after you've selected an article.
