May I show a DVD or stream a film in class?
Answer
Yes. Personally owned DVDs, DVDs from a library, and online films from the library databases can be shared or streamed within the classroom. Freely available content on the Web (e.g. news clips, YouTube videos) can also be shared in a classroom setting. However, films from Amazon, Netflix, or Hulu are subject to the terms and conditions of use for those content providers and may not be available for any non-personal use, even classroom use. See the Terms of Use for the content provider for more details: Netflix Terms of Use, Amazon Instant Video Terms of Use, and Hulu Terms of Use, for reference.
